It's been one year since my Mom died. There hasn't been a single day that has gone by that I don't miss her. We are taking a trip next week to Illinois. We'll spread the remainder of her ashes in her hometown area of Fairfield. We had so many wonderful times at Shady Lake. We'll spread some there and then spread the remainder in the Fairfield Cemetary near the graves of her family that she loved so dearly. Her mother Pearl, her brothers Edgar and Eldon (Elvis was cremated and his ashes were spread over the Pacific Ocean) and her sisters Faye, Edna and Eunice. They don't make them like that anymore. I still haven't had the courage to go through the remainder of Mom's stuff. Maybe sometime next year. Her impact on my life was so significant that I don't even realize that she's gone most times. I love you Mom.

I remember my dear aunt Eva since I was 7 years old. She and Kara lived in our house on De tonty St. in St. Louis while going through difficult times in her life. Then she and my mother, Edna decided to go west and start anew. My few trips to Ca to visit the Musgraves and to the other reunions were always brightened by my dear Aunt Eve. When she asked "How are you doing?", I knew that she really wanted to know how I was getting along. Her passing took a lot out of me and I was quite sad for a while. But, I now use her life as a model of how to react to the difficult times so as to look forward to God soothing my difficult times. She was a sweet, sincere, loving woman that I will miss to my last heart beat. I know she has started a chorus of angels in Heaven that produces the sweetest music. : 1/19/09

I always looked forward to seeing and hearing from Aunt Eva. She was fun and loving and a free-spirit. There are several things I remember about Eva, but what they all have in common is how I felt when I was with Eva. She was one of those rare people whose attention made you feel loved, important, and accepted. She will be missed, but remembered fondly always.

There are those people in your life that make a lasting impression one that you never forget. Co-workers may come and go but there are those like Eva Deacon that stay with you forever. I was fortunate to meet Eva at Clio years ago. Every day in my email was the "quote of the day" Still even when she finally retired I would get them occationally. Eva was such the kind of person that was always happy one that I will always remember in my heart. Sassy Eva Deacon.always singing and dancing.I learned alot!
You will be missed. But thank you so much for the memory.
Kara.you and your brother were lucky to have such a great mother so free and willing to share herself with us!
Thank you
