Mom love the Alano Club. When Brent, now 37, was little, she used to take him to the Alano Club dances. In her obituary we asked that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Alano Club, contact info below. Here's the notice they emailed to their members: In case any of you are not aware, one of our members of the Alano Club passed away on Monday. The lovely Eva Deacon who had 47 years of sobriety and has been a member of the Club for a long time and at the age of around 83, was at almost every dance we held up until a month and a half ago when she broke her hip has gone on to the Big meeting with Bill and Bob and others who have left us. I have known her for only a little over 5 years, and she always put a smile on my face, and would tire me out on the Dance floor. I’m sure many of you have known her longer and have many fond memories of her. Her funeral is Today at 3:00 at Welch-Ryce-Haider at 15 east Sola St. They ask that if you attend try and wear something Red, her favorite color. Her Family has also asked that donations in her memory be made to the Alano Club, she loved the place. I will be there and hope as many of you who can attend will also be there.
